Donation Part of Broad Program Supporting Service Members
Sutter Health today announced a $25,000 donation to The Fisher House Foundation and Canine Companions for Independence, two military-support organizations dedicated to improving the lives of service men and women in Northern California. The total contribution represents one part of a broad, longtime commitment by the not-for-profit health system to help veterans.
“We are deeply grateful for the service and sacrifice of veterans and active military personnel across the country, including the more than 1,200 veterans who work on our Sutter Health team,” said Pat Fry, president and CEO of Sutter Health.
Fry added, “We believe strongly that it’s our duty to support veterans. That’s why Sutter Health makes it a priority to recruit military members and to support organizations that support veterans.”
