Sutter Health and the Oakland Athletics are partnering to support those affected by the deadly Oakland warehouse fire.
Over the last few days the Northern California community has been stunned by the tragic loss of life, the grief and trauma, and the enormous impact on our community and first responders resulting from the fire.
“Sutter Health extends our deepest condolences to the victims’ loved ones and all others affected, and we have made a $75,000 donation to the Oakland A’s Community Fund,” said Sarah Krevans, Sutter Health president and CEO. The collaborative fundraising effort among community partners and the Oakland mayor’s office will support the Relief Fund for Victims of the Oakland Fire.
All funds collected will be directed to the American Red Cross to help those affected by the Oakland Fire.
“We made this donation on behalf of our compassionate employees, physicians and volunteers to help those greatly impacted by this tragic event,” said Jeff Gerard, president of Sutter Health Bay Area.
