Becker’s Hospital Review released its 2016 edition of “100 Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know,” featuring some of the most prominent health information technology leaders in the industry from across the country. The publication selected Sutter Health Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Jon Manis, and Sutter Health Valley Area CIO, Adrienne Edens, among them.
As the not-for-profit Sutter Health network’s CIO since 2006 and a seasoned health information technology executive for 25 years, Manis oversees Sutter Health’s administrative, operational and clinical support systems, as well as its electronic health record.
Named CIO of the Sutter Health Valley Area in 2015, Edens plays an integral role in the organization’s planning and implementation of new information technologies and creating efficient cost-effective IT solutions. Prior to her new role, she served as Sutter Health’s East Bay Region vice president and regional chief information officer.
Becker’s Hospital Review notes, “The executives are leading their organizations through healthcare’s technology revolution, overseeing EHR installations, new patient portals and telemedicine advancements while working to keep data secure from breaches, among countless other priorities. Becker’s Hospital Review has published a version of this list every year since 2013. Leaders were selected for this list based on editorial research and discretion. Nominations were also considered when making selections for this list.”
