Sutter Health Fellowship Program Named in CEO Pat Fry’s Honor
Posted on Dec 9, 2015 in Uncategorized
CEO Pat Fry began his career at Sutter Health as an administrative fellow in 1982. Today, Sutter Health’s administrative fellowship program carries a new name in his honor: “The Patrick E. Fry Fellowship for Excellence in Healthcare Leadership.”
The Sutter Health board of directors showed its gratitude by renaming the longstanding program— a fitting tribute given Fry’s start with the organization and his commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare leaders. Fry will retire from Sutter Health on Jan. 1, 2016.
The fellowship program gives candidates with master’s degrees an opportunity to receive hands-on, specialized administrative experience in hospitals, medical groups and ambulatory care settings. Fellows are paid and receive benefits during the one-year program.
In Fry’s honor, Sutter Health will build onto the foundation of the current program. Future enhancements will include a multi-faceted executive development program with a mentorship component created to help fellowship alumni continue their professional growth at Sutter Health.
