Sutter Health announced today a quarter-million-dollar-plus donation to 27 food banks across Northern California, Oregon and Hawaii. The donation by the not-for-profit health system enables local food banks to serve nutritious meals to those in need this holiday season.

“Our care teams play a special part in creating healthier communities,” said Pat Fry, CEO of Sutter Health. “Partnering with local food banks is another way we give back and help families stay well-nourished.”

Over the past seven years, Sutter Health’s donations to community food banks total more than $1.6 million, which benefits countless individuals and families.
