Sutter Health Moves to Implement New Cal/OSHA Requirements for Ebola Personal Protective Equipment
Posted on Nov 14, 2014 in Uncategorized
Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our employees, physicians, patients and communities.
Sutter Health’s Ebola Virus Response Planning Team has taken significant steps to prepare for the screening, isolation and treatment of Ebola patients—and our efforts continue. We’re constantly monitoring updated guidelines from the CDC and others, and we’re incorporating the newest information into our training, protective equipment and response plans.
Today we are taking immediate steps to comply with the new Cal/OSHA requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE). We are reassessing our total systemwide supply of this new specific PPE, and we will work with national vendors to acquire additional supplies for all of our hospitals and care centers.
