Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital Opens
This past weekend, Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital (SSRRH) opened its doors to patients. After years of planning, design and public hearings, construction is complete on the new $284 million state-of-the-art hospital.
SSRRH will provide the full range of award-winning care and services currently provided at the Chanate Campus including: intensive care; emergency services; obstetrics, nursery care and level III neonatal intensive care; medical and surgical services; comprehensive cardiac services; and a full range of women’s reproductive health services.
The new hospital design incorporates advanced technology, modern hospital design, green building practices and current seismic construction standards. The project is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council under its LEED for New Construction program, and hopes to certify upon opening.
Also of note this weekend, Sutter Health took another big step forward in patient care with the successful roll-out of its Electronic Health Record (EHR) at SSRRH. The Sutter EHR ensures patients receive better, safer and more efficient health care by providing clinical staff and physicians with immediate access to each patient’s health history, test and imaging results. This connectivity provides more than one million patients with anytime online access to their health information.
Next up, Sutter Health’s hospitals in the greater Sacramento area, as well as Amador and Solano counties will transition to our EHR. By 2015, all patients seen in a Sutter Health facility will have their own unique paperless health record regardless where they received their care.
