Sutter Health Hospitals Honored by U.S. News & World Report

Eight Sutter Health hospital campuses received “high performing” rankings for specialty care in the annual U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals survey released today.

For 2014-2015, U.S. News evaluated hospitals in 16 medical care specialties. These Sutter Health campuses ranked as high performers:

San Francisco Bay Area:

Sacramento area:

Six Sutter Health hospital campuses rated in the top 50 among California’s 440 total facilities. These top performers are Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Berkeley campus; Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Oakland campus; California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco; Eden Medical Center, Castro Valley; Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento; and Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

It’s not just what we do; it’s who we are,” said Gordon Hunt, M.D., senior vice president and chief medical officer for Sutter Health. “These rankings honor our network’s physicians, nurses, clinical staff and employees who partner to deliver high-value, compassionate care across Northern California.”

The report also named Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, and Sutter Roseville Medical Center among the top three hospitals in the Sacramento region. In the San Francisco Bay Area, six Sutter-affiliated hospital campuses were named among the top 12 in the region.

The U.S. News & World Report survey ranked hospitals according to reputation, mortality, patient safety and other areas, including nurse staffing and technology. For more information and complete rankings, visit U.S. News & World Report.
