U.S. News & World Report’s Hospital of Tomorrow Conference Tackles Complex Topics
Steve Nolte, chief executive officer of Sutter Health Plus, joined a group of top health care executives and policymakers to address the most difficult issues facing America’s health systems at U.S. News & World Report’s inaugural Hospital of Tomorrow conference in Washington, D.C.
Taking place Nov. 4-6, the conference gathers executives from the nation’s leading health care institutions as well as industry analysts and policymakers to address today’s critical health care challenges such as population health, readmissions, strategic partnering, staffing, EHRs, personalized medicine and health care reform. Session topics include Rethinking Primary and Chronic Care; The Push to Personalize Medicine; Unleashing the Power of Big Data; Designing Hospitals for 21st Century Care; Inside the U.S. News Rankings and other topics on the future of medicine and health care delivery.
Nolte sat on a panel of experts during the session “Hospitals as Insurers” on Nov. 5 which explored the possibilities and the risks hospitals and health systems take on when they blur the provider-payer line.
