Sutter Health Employees Partner to Give Babies a Healthy Start
Posted on Feb 14, 2013 in Community Benefit
Employees, physicians and staff across Sutter Health’s Northern California network are once again raising money to help improve the health of our tiniest patients.
Sutter Health employees have a long tradition of supporting efforts to help the more than 53,000 babies born too soon in California each year. Over the past 16 years our family has raised nearly $6 million for March of Dimes’ research and clinical efforts. For the past three years, Sutter Health has been the top healthcare fundraising team in the nation supporting this cause.
Sutter Health employees share their personal connections to the cause and pledge to give every baby a healthy start.

In addition to fundraising, Sutter Health has a longtime clinical partnership with the March of Dimes. This includes recently helping to develop an important clinical toolkit, which encourages moms and doctors to work together to avoid scheduling an elective delivery before 39 weeks of pregnancy (full term)—unless there are medical reasons to do so.
