Palo Alto Medical Foundation Oncologist Reacts to Decrease in Cancer Death Rates

According to the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer, death rates from cancer continue to decrease, primarily due to advances in medical treatment and improved screening.
Edmund Tai, M.D., an oncologist at Sutter Health-affiliated Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s Cancer Care Center responded to the report, noting that significant strides have been made in cancer screening and treatment over the past decade.
